DARK MOFO 10 June 2016

Since Neolithic times, seasonal winter solstice rites have been held to face the darkness and bring back the light. The Museum of Old and New Art in Tasmania’s winter festival Dark Mofo celebrates both ancient and contemporary mythologies, through large-scale public art, food, film, music, theatre, interactive art, light and noise. The usual Mona obsessions, with a darker twist – and a nude swim to welcome back the light.
